Arlington and Bedford's Leading Waxing SPA

Have you ever experienced razor burns? Don’t have time to shave often? If your answer to those questions is yes, then waxing is your go-to solution for hair removal. Throw away your razor and try our waxing services!

Make sure to stay hydrated before your waxing appointment to avoid less pain. Do not shave your hair because it has to be a certain length to be waxed. Ensure that don’t wear deodorant or apply any products on the areas that need to be waxed.

Waxing is a procedure in which soft or hard wax is applied on the region of hair removal. A cloth is placed on the soft wax and is pressed a slightly, so it sticks to the wax and your hair. The cloth is then pulled in the direction opposite to that of your natural hair growth. The hair is uprooted and sticks to the cloth. In the case of hard wax, the wax is left to cooled down and pulled directly. No cloth is required for this procedure.

All of our body waxing sessions take place in private rooms with a door and take between 15 and 20 minutes. The aesthetician will take you to the designated room. You'll be left alone to change out of your clothes into a wax gown. This is done to avoid any wax getting on your clothes. Then you will lie on a table covered in clean paper or sheets.

Your hair needs to be about a half-inch if it's coarse and 1/4 inch if it is fine to be able to wax it. Any hair that is shorter makes it difficult for the wax to grab. However, you also don't want your hair to be too long, because this makes it more painful. You can help the aesthetician out by trimming your before you go in. If your hair is much longer than required, your aesthetician may trim your hair to the correct length.

We use pain-free elastic polymer wax. We carry various different types of waxes suitable such as organic honey wax, blue hard wax, crème wax for super sensitive skin and relaxing chocolate wax. Every clients skin type is analyzed, and the aesthetician uses the best suitable wax for that clients’ particular skin type.

The procedure:

  • The aesthetician will first apply talcum powder to the area that needs to be waxed. The talcum keeps hot wax from sticking to skin.
  • Our aestheticians will be quick so there is less discomfort for you. The aesthetician will dip a wooden waxing stick into a pot of melted wax and spread it onto your skin and hair in in the area you want waxed, in the direction of hair growth.
  • She will then apply a cloth strip over the still-warm wax, pressing firmly so the cloth, hair, and wax can stick to one another.
  • The aesthetician will pull the strip off, in the opposite direction of your hair growth. This will pull the hairs out by the root. If it is painful at this point the aesthetician will apply strips to smaller areas at a time.
  • The aesthetician may spread soothing lotion or baby oil over the waxed areas.

Before you leave the salon, your aesthetician will provide you with any aftercare tips that she may have. You'll also want to avoid anything that can irritate the skin for a few days. That includes wearing loose clothing, using fragrance-free products, hot yoga, or sweaty workouts.

If you develop any bumps, ingrown hairs or redness then gently exfoliate with a body scrub and apply a lotion or aloe vera gel on the area. This will help get rid of any redness.
